Well, I mean, Scott said that they gave it to her at graduation in front of a couple of her friends and that Dan had suggested a high-end guitar, so I figured May-June 2003. Besides, she isn't even playing SBN's here, her hands are no where near those chords. This guitar is definitely the Taylor (the body shappe is nothing like the ovation.) I think it could be from early 8th grade or the summer before.

I don't know, I just always thought she looked really young here. Like younger than in the other clips which are mostly from when she was 13 and Smokey black nights is such an old song that I thought maybe this could be the clip where she was singing it. She got it (well her first 12-string anyway, I don't know if this is that one) for getting all A's in 7th grade though didn't she? So she was probably 13 but still could've been in 7th grade or it could've been in the summer before 8th grade because she turned 13 not long after starting 7th grade so she would've been almost 14 if she had started 8th grade already. I think she looks at best like she just turned 13 but maybe she got it for getting all As in just the first semester of 7th grade? I mean her birthday is right at the end of that so it could've been then that she got it because technically that was in 7th grade. So maybe this was right after she got it? Like maybe when she was trying it out or something?

Well, since she got that guitar at 13, she'd have to be thirteen right? I think it was early eighth grade...

It's from one of her home videos. The one she made that played before her concerts in 2008 I think. She looks about 12 and I think she might've been playing Smokey black nights because in an article I read once it said that in one home video from around that time she was playing that and that she kept playing even when her cat came up and licked her fingers and I remember seeing a cat (a little gray one that I can also see in another clip from The best day music video. I don't think it's Indie though so I thought maybe it was that kitten named Eloise that she mentioned in Tennessee) in this clip. I can't see it in this picture but when I noticed it last year I thought it was really cool because she did actually say that the cat was chewing the neck of her Taylor in some of the videos her dad sent to her old manager Dan Dymtrow and now that I read that other article I know what she was probably playing which I always wonder about with the clips with no sound. It took me like a million times of watching those clips to see the cat though, it's hard to see but I swear it's there!

I saw the cat in this clip, it looks significantly darker here, but it was used in Journey to Fearless at the very beginning as part of the intro. It's directly behind her. I haven't seen the cat in other clips though, I'll keep a look out now.
