Song inspirations https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/ Song inspirations Britany Macck Britany Maack, Taylor's old friend who she wrote her unreleased song Me and Britney about. I'm not really sure why she changed the spelling of her name in the song or why she said she moved to Memphis when she didn't but I'm pretty sure it's about her because her name is Britany and she was her first best friend from Pennsylvania. They even took her to New Jersey with them one summer when they were 12 and Taylor's mom saved some stranded boaters with her water craft. She even mentioned her in the thank you's of her first album and tweeted a picture of them together recently. They also reunited before that in August 2011 at her Philadelphia concert on the Speak now tour and Britany tweeted about it. They mentioned it in a Reading Eagle (the local newspaper from the town where Taylor is from. They've been writing articles about her since before she was famous) article. I think the storyline was made up because they were so young when she wrote it (she was only maybe 13 or 14, but no older than that because she performed it at the Bluebird cafe in November 2004 when she was 14 so maybe she wrote it around when she moved to TN) that I doubt she actually ran off with a guy and moved to a different state at that age. haha I don't think she wanted to be a movie star either, she rides horses (maybe she switched Britany's story with hers?) but I don't know. She could've changed the spelling of her name to protect her identity but she's never done that before and she put her full name in her album booklet thank you's and didn't even release the song so I don't know why she'd do that but maybe we're just assuming it's spelled that way in the song when it's not. https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=179652267 179652267 Drew Hardwick A picture of Drew Hardwick from Teardrops on my guitar. I think it was bigger picture of him and his girlfriend at the time Candice, (the other girl in the song) at a dance or something but she was cropped out. This was taken I think in his senior year when Taylor wrote the song and I think it was a winter dance so maybe December 2004, probably not even two months after the song was written because I believe she wrote the song that October. https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=170408620 170408620 Drew and Candice Drew Hardwick from Teardrops on my guitar and his girlfriend at the time (the other girl in the song) Candice Plunk. They were still dating for a while after the song was written so this is a more recent picture. https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=170408621 170408621 Gracie Johnson The little girl with Cancer (Gracie Johnson) who inspired Taylor's unreleased song Gracie. She wrote the song in early 2005 but this was taken in 2007. Gracie was 6 or 7 here and about to turn 5 when she wrote the song (she was born in May 2000) but she's now 13 and doing well. I believe she's in remission and still alive today. https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=157935965 157935965 Emily Harding Emily Harding, who went to school with Taylor. She died in a boating accident in May 2005 right after graduating from Hendersonville high. I believe she's the Emily that Taylor wrote Brought up that way about (because her name is Emily, she was raised by her dad after her mom died when she was young and she died in an accident involving a drunk driver although some of the details of her story were changed) but I don't think she really knew her personally since she was a few years older than her. https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=179282044 179282044 Taylor with Jake Owen Taylor with Jake Owen who she wrote Sparks fly about in 2006 when she was 16, I think around Halloween. https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=155431379 155431379 Emily Poe Emily Poe, Taylor's old fiddle player, inspired the song Breathe when she left her band in late 2007. She has since gone onto law school. https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=181408748 181408748 Ronan Thompson A picture of the little boy (Ronan Thompson) who Taylor wrote Ronan about. He died of cancer (neuroblastoma) right before his 4th birthday in 2011. :( Taylor wrote the song that October of that year (or around then at least) based off his mom's blog entries and listed her as a co-writer. She then released the song for Stand up 2 cancer in September 2012 but opted to leave it off her album. https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=174707100 174707100 Ethel Kennedy Taylor Swift wrote her song Starlight about Ethel Kennedy and her husband after visiting Ethel's house and seeing a picture of the two as teens. She decided to write a song about two teenagers falling in love during that time. The song appeared in her album Red, as Track 15, and with the lyric booklet you will find 2 hidden words, those words being "For Ethel". https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=182853531 182853531 Paul Potts and his wife Taylor wrote Sweeter than fiction with Jack Antonoff about Paul Potts who won Britain's got talent a few years ago. They wrote it for the movie One chance that was made about him and his relationship with his wife who was the only person who believed in him when no one else did. https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=196386441 196386441 Grant Wood Grant Wood (aka grantmotherfuckingwood) who was mentioned in her old high school myspace comments. I'm posting this picture of him (this is what he looks like now; I think this is from last year) even though I've never seen a picture of them together because he inspired I'd lie. I figured this out because in an old myspace comment from just a few months before she wrote it she said she just found out he could play guitar and she was surprised by that. There was also another one from around the same time where she said Iloveyougrantwoodbutnotsomuch and that kinda made it seem like she liked him but was kinda making a joke about it because she didn't want anyone to know. She mentions him in other comments too and he was still at her school at the time. He also has a sister who is in fact beautiful and I'm not sure what his dad looks like to really say weather or not he has his eyes and I don't know his favorite color or his birthday but his mom was really Taylor's English teacher just like it says in an old article about it and I even saw someone else on facebook recently saying they didn't know he could play guitar after he changed his profile picture from this picture to one of him playing guitar so that's really all the proof I need. haha The only piece of evidence I'm missing to really say it's for sure about him 113% (because I'm already 100% sure) is his birthday. Does anyone happen to be friends with him on facebook and know if it's on the 17th? lol https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=182004151 182004151 Bob Lefsetz The critic Taylor wrote Mean about. https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=197748508 197748508 Joni Mitchell One of Taylor's main influences for her song The lucky one. https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=197748509 197748509 Taylor and Katy Perry Taylor and Katy Perry who she wrote Bad blood about. https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=197103458 197103458 Cory Bracey A guy named Cory that went to Taylor's high school. I'm not sure but someone who knew them both said that he was the Cory she wrote Stay beautiful about. https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=201012374 201012374 Jordan and friends Jordan (who Taylor wrote picture to burn about) with two of his friends in 9th grade. He's the one in the middle. https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=197838812 197838812 https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=200949457 200949457 Grant Wood The inspiration for I'd lie. I figured this out because she mentioned in an old myspace comment from not too long before the song was written that she had just found out he could play guitar (which someone else commented on years later when he changed his profile picture to one of him playing guitar so clearly this was something he could do but kept hidden like in the lyrics of the song). Further proof is the fact that his mom is an English teacher at the school just like she supposedly once said (I never found the actual source but the fact that it was true alone was enough to cement the fact that it was about him imo) and he has a sister who is in fact beautiful. I still haven't been able to confirm his birthday, whether his eyes look like his father's, if he likes to argue or his favorite color (although he was wearing green in his profile picture) but I have a feeling all those things would all add up too. Everything made sense, she's mentioned him a few other times in myspace comments too (referring to him as grantmotherfuckingwood even once writing iloveyougrantmotherfuckingwoodbutnotsomuch which makes sense for the theme of the song) and he went to her school at the time and was a year above her I believe so he would've still been there when she performed it at the school talent show which she said he attended. https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=200949556 200949556 Jordan Alvord The inspiration for Picture to burn and I believe many other angry songs she wrote at the time such as Cold as you, REVENGE, Matches, Love to lose, I know what I want/It ain't you etc. He is now married and has a baby with the girl he dated after almost dating Taylor. Her name is Chelsea and they used to kind of be friends until they got into a fight over him. She also mentions a guys named Jordan in a myspace comment saying she they're not so great and she'd had much eperience with them at the time and their girlfriends didn't like it. She also had a guy friend named Jordan but I can only assume she was referring to him because of the 'their girlfriends don't like it' comment. I found out about this Jordan about a year ago (sorry, I had his picture in yearbook pictures before and the more recent pictures of him and his wife are in the article about them in Scans) because there was an article about him and his wife where they said they found out the song was about him because Abigail told them. All is fine now though, in 2009 they met for coffee and Taylor took a picture with Chelsea and her younger sister and also gave her an autograph because she's a fan. https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=200949562 200949562 https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=200950044 200950044 https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=197418019 197418019 Drew Dunlap 1 This is Drew (her first taylor's boyfriend) and his wife Hannah. They married on April 26, 2014. Drew currently working on Fire Protection Systems and both live in Hendersonville. Taylor was inspired by him to write "Tim Mcgraw" and "Our Song". I know it's him 'cause I have a picture of his parents. https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=203075437 203075437 Drew Dunlap 2 Another photo of Drew with his wife, but this time 2015. He looks a little different, but he is. https://raretaylorswift.webs.com/apps/photos/photo?photoID=203075438 203075438
